During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rachel worked in virtual medicine, further deepening her understanding of the changing demands placed on clinicians.

Across her career, Rachel has witnessed the cumulative impact of stress, responsibility, and emotional load that comes with caring for others. Like many in the profession, she has navigated the challenge of balancing clinical work alongside family, relationships, and personal wellbeing.

Over time, this led her to intentionally develop a practical “toolkit” of strategies to support resilience, emotional regulation, and sustainable practice.

Rachel’s work is grounded in the belief that caring for ourselves is not separate from caring for patients — it is essential to it.

The Nourished Clinician was created to share these tools and offer health professionals the opportunity to reconnect, reflect, and build practices that support long-term wellbeing.
